The apartment: 2,000 sq foot loft like penthouse located on the top floor (5th floor) with a massive 1,000 sq foot private terrace - there are 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. We are the only unit on the floor. The apartment has a nice open floor plan, minimalist design, clean lines, and carefully considered floor plan that flows from the kitchen into the living room and outside onto the terrace. The kitchen is large and modern, equipped with stainless steel Bosch and Liebherr appliances. The living room has floor to ceiling windows, with views across Brooklyn. Washer / dryer in unit and 4 external shared closet spaces. We have a projector set up to watch movies, record player, and a high fidelity sound system. The bedroom: The available bedroom is large and spacious (12ft x 10ft), with a large closet, and a large private terrace, outfitted with synthetic grass. The room has floor to ceiling windows and faces south, and gets lots of sunlight. You would share a full bathroom with one other room mate and we have another communal half bathroom. The room comes unfurnished (can leave a bed on request) and will be cleaned prior to your arrival. Price: The rent for the bedroom is $2,500 per month. Utilities generally run about $75 - $125 / month depending on the season. 1st month rent + 1 month security deposit is required. Dates: The bedroom is available starting June 1, 2019. We’re hoping to have someone move in for an extended period of time 12 months+ The building: New luxury boutique condo building with public rooftop space, bicycle storage room in basement, and elevator. Public rooftop has beautiful views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Located on South 1st between Bedford and Driggs (equidistant from the L and the J, M lines so lots of transportation options). We enjoy being active, you’ll find us skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding throughout the year - it’s a big part of our lifestyle. On the weekends (and during the week) you can find us building things (wood working), making art, growing plants, making music, shooting photos, etc. We have a lot of friends who live in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan, and enjoy hanging out with friends in the apartment and cooking group dinners from time to time. We travel often as well, and we’ll be in Hawaii for a surf trip at the end of May! We’re looking for someone who is also chill, relaxed, and fun.
