Private room in Allston, MA

1 bed

1 bath

Description

Why are you looking for a renter? My name is Ryder and I am moving to New York for a new job and looking for someone to sublease my apartment to. I have a great cozy place to sublet in Allston ($800), convenient to a lot of things. Available from Feb 18th – Aug 31st. Lease can be extended. Email me at [email protected] if interested! I have some furniture to sell but if you'd prefer an empty room, I am happy to accommodate. Open house is this weekend, email me for details. • The apartment: The apartment is on the top floor of a three-decker. It has a kitchen, a back and front porch, one bathroom and you’ll be living with 3 other roommates. You’ll be paying $800/month for the room plus $95-100/person for utilities (RCN Internet (no cable), gas and electricity). Rent is paid individually so you’re only responsible for your own room. See attached pictures for the bed room (fits more than two queen-size beds). The room also has closet space behind the wall (see picture). The whole apartment is gas heated and the landlord will have the apartment insulated from the outside this month so expect your gas bill to be lower. • Roommates: From early 20s to mid-20s, college sophomore to working young professionals. They are super quiet and friendly. • Kitchen: All the basics though no dish washer. Everything is in working order and plenty of space to store cookware. There’s also a pantry with bunch of space right next to the kitchen. • Groceries: 7 min walk to a brand new Trader Joes (they sell alcohol) on North Harvard street (first floor of the Continuum) OR Star Market is equally close OR Stop and Shop is 12 min walk away (they also have Home Goods and a Dollar Store right next to it if you’re fancy!) • Transportation: Close to bus stops for 86/66 to Harvard Square OR 70/70A to Central Square. Walk across the pedestrian bridge and you’ll be on Brighton Ave with all the entertainment (Brighton Music Hall, Tavern in the square, etc.) and a gazillion of food options. The closest T stop is the Harvard Avenue stop on the B line. If you take the commuter rail, the Boston Landing stop is 13 min walk. • Laundry: There’s a coin-op washer and dryer in the basement of the building ($2/load) OR you can go to the MAYTAG laundromat (5 min walk)
