After 6 wonderful years in this apartment, my girlfriend and I will be leaving the east village due to a professional relocation. Thankfully, our management company is giving us the option to "assign" the apartment to a qualified applicant for the remainder of the lease. The current lease ends on May 31 2019, which you would be able to extend and remain in the at if you wish to do so. Qualified tenant will pay a $1,500 upfront fee, which will be going to cover the administrative fee associated with assigning the lease. Please note, this fee is FAR better than the 15% ($5,000) broker fees you would see on a regular lease!
