Why are you looking for a renter? Hi! I'm subletting my room in a true 2-bedroom apartment in Bushwick, available June 1 through the end of July (2 months). The Room: The room has two large windows and a built-in closet. It will be furnished with a full-size bed, dresser, built-in closet, and a bookshelf. Although I would much prefer to sublet the room fully furnished, we can discuss removing some items upon request. I will leave my window A/C unit for your use. The rent is $900 per month, and you will be responsible for your share of utilities (electricity, gas, internet). A security deposit of 1 months' rent is required (so that's $900 x 2 to move in). The Apartment: This is a true 2-bedroom apartment with a spacious kitchen and living room that comes with a couch, large TV (roommate's, so please play nice) and coffee table. There is a HUGE, shared closet and dresser in the living room if you need additional storage space. The Roommate: You will be sharing the apartment with a queer non-binary artist and designer in their early 30s who teaches in the bronx. CAT ALERT: My roommate will be taking care of their cat plus my cat while I'm gone, so you will have two lovely feline co-residents. You won't be required to care for them, but it would be nice if you are willing to occasionally look after them when my roommate is out of town. The cats, by nature, are curious and will definitely want to hang out with you and check out your room, so please like cats :) Obviously, this apartment is not for you if you are allergic to or scared of cats! Location: The apartment is 3.5 blocks away from the Halsey L stop and 5 blocks away from Wilson Avenue L stop. The Myrtle-Wyckoff L/M stop is about 10-15 min walk, depending on your pace. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Manhattan during rush hours. There is a Food Bazaar about 10 minutes away by foot, but there are multiple bodegas within 1-3 blocks from the apartment as well. A 24-hour laundromat is located 2.5 blocks away from the building. Bonus for beer lovers - there are 2 breweries within 2 blocks of the apartment.
