Half a block to a Bay Wheels bike share station. Very central location, with quick BART or Uber/Lyft to Downtown, Hayes Valley, Castro, Panhandle, etc. The 518-square-foot corner apartment has hardwood floors, a washer and dryer in unit, modern appliances and a Nest thermostat. Great sunset views. The building is wired for Google Fiber Webpass. Pets are allowed. We are open to furnished or unfurnished depending on your preference. The Vara apartment building is well-run and friendly. The community has a doorman, a terrace, a gym, various working spaces, a bike storage room, a secure package room and a parking garage (parking costs extra). Management holds various monthly events with free food and drinks to help you get to know your neighbors. We’ve had a great time living here for 2.5 years and are moving for a new job across the country. Our lease goes until August 20, 2020, after which you’d have the option to renew it. Rent is $2,918/month, and utilities are typically about $200/month. You will apply to the landlord and take over the lease, not sublet from us. To qualify, residents must have an annual income of 3 times the total rent — so a minimum of about $105,000 (either for one person or combined between two people).
