Private room in Southside, NY

Why are you looking for a renter? Native New Yorker working at a production company downtown but I'm wfh until further notice. Laid back and respectful of personal space/belongings. I love to cook, workout and try to get creative in my free time. Let's jam if you play any instruments. I really enjoy finding new music and learning new things so please teach me something about your passions! I have a cat named Benji who is very sweet and social (and handsome). He's okay with big dogs, but I'm not sure about other animals so I'd prefer no pets but we can discuss! What do you love about this place? I fell in love with this apartment when I walked in, and I think you will too. Located in a stunning building with great amenities. It's bursting with light, boasts a large living room, rare SUPER high ceilings (18+ feet!), plus a fully loaded kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances. Spacious batroom with deep-soaking tub. The apartment also features over-sized windows, recessed lighting, large granite counter-tops, a video intercom system and balcony! Upstairs hosts the second bedroom and adjacent laundry room and storage area. The bedroom easily fits a queen size bed plus additional furniture. Currently has a desk, small couch, wardrobe and queen size bed in it (will be unfurnished when my roommate moves out). I'm gonna take additional pictures of the room once it's cleaned professionally. (ETA 6/16) Happy to send pics in it's present state but note my current roommate is an ER doctor working nights so cut us some slack for the lack of tidiness please!! The common space is furnished with a couch but my roommate is taking the rest of the furniture with him so there will be some room! He's taking his TV with him so I'm hoping to have projector or something similar installed by the time you move in! While being large and still receiving a lot of natural light from the tinted glass doors and window onto the high ceiling, there is no direct window to the outside in the room. It's perfect for people who work night shifts or who don't spend most of the time in their room (looking at you doctors). Especially since we have a massive living room FILLED with light.
