Despite the current situation, we are now looking for a new housemate for an ASAP move-in for our home within the next week in June. One of our housemates has left for a new teaching profession in upstate NY and although the timing isn't great, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the right clean, friendly, and professional adult (who is gainfully employed full-time and can prove it with 3-months worth of paystubs or a letter from an employer), to enjoy a rent-stabilized 3-bedroom apartment in the desirable Brooklyn neighborhood of Carroll Gardens. The room being vacated is the largest of the three bedrooms, located conveniently next to the living room, with spacious closet space and above closet storage. With amble room and comfortable wooden flooring, this is a fantastic space for someone who enjoys both privacy and a great view. The neighborhood of Carroll Gardens, when things are normal, is a thriving upscale family neighborhood with affordable and varied restaurants, shops, bars, gyms, parks and more. Our apartment is conveniently a block and a half away from the F Train for those that commute! So who are we looking for? You're a mature, respectful, non-smoking/non-drug using career adult with a the flexibility to be both a friend and an independent person. Otherwise we're open to all people and all backgrounds. The apartment is rent stabilized at $836/month, a steal and a lifesaver in Brooklyn! Seriously! Water and heat provided. Rent does not include the additional costs of utilities (gas, electricity, wifi). We know these are trying times and will make sure to accommodate everyone with initial virtual tours via FaceTime or Skype, before showing prospective housemates. We have to maintain our safety and health and will vet candidates for any symptoms of the Coronavirus (obviously), and will provide hand sanitizer for each entry and exit from our apartment during the in-person visiting process.
