Why are you looking for a renter? We are a budding community housed in an ongoing restoration project in a beautiful 1853 Landmarked mansion on the North Shore of Staten Island. Away from the hustle bustle, an inspiring space to learn, restore, pick organic veggies, swim, read, write, get creative, host dinner parties or just be! 2 BEDROOMS AVAILABLE >LONG-TERM LEASE ONLY< • Two furnished bedrooms = ($1000 each) • Attic/ Studio space (under construction) = ($1600)* *Note we are open to having a a couple for the attic space or an artist/musician/business person whomever - who is wanting an extra studio space. The spaces are huge! and the rent is a bargain for what you are getting (includes own bathroom and potentially we can build a small kitchenette) Mi Casa Su Casa: a collective experience, the more you put in, the more you get out. Get involved with the vegetable garden or caring for our chickens. Designer or architect? Help with the restoration project. Photographer/filmmaker? We are a location for shoots and movies. Love cooking? We enjoy hosting dinner parties. We are seeking open-minded people looking for a grounding, inspiring space to call home, away from the hustle bustle. The available bedrooms are large with views of the waterfront, plenty of light and fresh air, huge closets, high ceilings, hardwood floors and carved walnut furniture, circa 1850. These two rooms will share their own private bathroom (soon to be finished). The attic studio space (for a couple or single) would also have their own private bathroom, living area/ studio and small kitchenette (under construction). Also Included: - 40' x 20' x 12' saltwater pool - Indoor in-ground hot tub and steam shower - Organic vegetable garden and Herb garden - Wood burning pizza oven and commercial appliance kitchen - Various common spaces, lounges, dining areas - Chicken coop with fresh eggs - Three bathrooms - Commercial washer and dryer - High speed internet - Extra storage - Roof level cupola for meditation and relaxation (in-progress) Travel from the city: We are 20 minutes west, by bus, along the waterfront to the Staten Island ferry. Direct bus routes across the road from the house or a 20 min taxi to the Ferry which runs for free every half hour (24 hours) and every 15 min during rush hour. By car you could be in Bk or Manhattan in 30 - 60 mins, depending on traffic. Currently it is myself, my boyfriend, John our violinist and violin restorer and our friendly Doberman.
