Description
Why are you looking for a renter? One month FREE if leased by September 1. We are moving upstate and looking for someone who would like to take over the lease to our apartment. You would need to apply to the building management company and get approved, but you would be starting a new lease with the building, not actually taking over ours. What do you love about this place? My apartment is one of those New York deals that people can't believe. Its a way-below-market rent (most 1 bedrooms are this price) It's a south-facing, corner unit on Central Park North, so it is streaming with light all day long (I paid to put window tint on all living room windows to cut the glare, keep it cooler and protect sun damage to furniture), and the living room has windows on two of the 4 walls. The two front windows are the only two in the building that open like doors and overlook the Harlem Meer, the park, 5th Avenue and the skyline of Central Park South. The living room and kitchen are together in one great room (I built a kitchen island because the storage and counter space were negligible - we would leave it for you if you wanted it), so you can cook and chat with your mate, roommates, friends, and the kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher. The bathroom has two sinks, which is super helpful when sharing. There are hardwood floors throughout. The bedrooms go from good size, to smaller size, to small. The 3rd "bedroom" was actually formerly the kitchen in the old apartment layout. They flipped the kitchen into the living room to be able to charge for a 3 bdrm (if you've looked at other NYC apartments that say "convertible 2 bedroom" you know this ploy". When I moved in 15 years ago it was my office, then I made it into a guest room, and now it serves as a large walk-in closet. We can negotiate a price to leave it, or take it out and leave it as a small room. This is a top floor apartment, so no one lives above you. We are 3/4 block to the 2/3, 3.5 blocks from the 6 train, and steps from all the bus lines on 5th avenue (1, 2, 3, 4). The gorgeous Conservatory Garden is a short walk from the front door, museum mile begins about 5 blocks down 5th, and of course, Central Park is across the street - living on the park has spoiled me. I don't ever NOT want to live on a park. What isn't so great about this place? It's a 4 flight walk up, no doorman.
