Questions and Answers

Listings have a question and answer section so that renters can get their specific questions answered or find the answer right away if it was already asked and answered. Over time, this turns into a library of FAQs about the property that lets renters get their specific questions answered or find the answer right away if it was already asked and answered.

Questions typically revolve around the property itself - an amenity or feature that isn't obvious in the photos. Since these are relevant to other renters, the entire history of Q&As is displayed on each listing page.

Making the most out of questions

Questions help you see where there are gaps with your listing and even with your property. If people are asking questions about a particular part of the property you may realize that either there is important information missing in the listing - review the listing and see where you can improve.

Questions help you understand how your audience thinks about your property. What information is important to them? If you receive numerous questions about the square footage or kitchen appliances, you can infer that these things are crucial in their decision.

If the property lacks a feature that renters are holding out for then you may decide to unlist while you add that feature.

Inappropriate, personal or repetitive questions

While Caretaker tries its best to filter questions that shouldn't show up, questions that are either overly person, irrelevant, or already answered on the page might slip through. These can be ignored completely or answered privately.

Personal questions only apply to the asker. You can ignore these or answer them privately.
