How do you protect against tenants who stop paying rent?

This article applies to users with Leaseholder or Landlord plans.

Tenant screening

Before you accept a tenant, we can provide the tenant's eviction, felony, and credit history in addition to their verified level of income. To force renters to include this information on their application, be sure to set tenant requirements for your listing.

During a lease

Once your lease starts, your renter will be required to setup automatic rent payments so they're charged each time rent is due.

If your renter stops paying rent or causes damage, you can make a claim to collect their security deposit in escrow on Caretaker.

If your renter moves out before the end of their sublease, we'll relist the unit for you and do everything again at no extra cost.
