How is my bank account account information protected?

At Caretaker we go to great lengths to keep all of your sensitive information safe.

We use your bank account to verify your income and identity. Connected bank accounts can also be used payment methods. Data is never stored on our servers and always encrypted.

We work with an integrated, trusted third-party, Plaid Technologies, Inc so that you can connect your bank account by entering your online login credentials. You may be familiar with this process if you’ve ever verified a bank account on Paypal or similar services. These banking credentials are never sent to Caretaker or stored by us, and all traffic goes over SSL to prevent third parties from eavesdropping on your connection.

All financial data is stored by Plaid Technologies, Inc using AES-256 encryption.
